Soft strings kill me.

Blogging SQUARE today, as they have several amazing releases to show recently. The Gaia Wall Panel, which you can see on the wall to the right, is a stunningly beautiful wood panel with stone accents, and it also has a beautiful feature lamp, emitting a soft ambience light. You can turn the light on/off by touching the panel. The Gaia panel is available in 5 gorgeous colors/textures, and it’s copy/modify. Available at the Dubai event, last day today! After the event it will be made available at the SQUARE store.

Also on the wall, on the left side of the picture, is the Zeta TV-wall, and doesn’t this look absolutely amazing? It comes in black and white. The functional media TV is included, along with all the decor. Profile lights turn on/off. The full set with all the decor is only 23 Li, and it’s copy/modify. Available right now at Uber.

A keen eye will also have noticed the wood panel that I used above the others, because I was in a high ceiling room. This is a previous release by SQUARE, and it’s the Lloyd Wall Panel, and previously blogged here. Other components used is the Optimus chair, and lamp, which I blogged here, and decor from the Aria collection, blogged here, if you like to take a closer look before teleporting around.

Now, what’s playing on the TV? The song from which I borrowed the title to my blog post, ‘Soft Strings Kill Me’ by Tia Rungray. I am mentioning this, because this is one of my favourite live performers in Second Life. Tia Rungray is an electroacoustic music project self-produced by Noami Takayuki, advocating noise classical. He held a concert a couple of days ago, performing his latest album release ‘Emptimythia’, which I missed, but the next show is on May 25th, and I’m going to try to be there.

Slow morning.

Who doesn’t love slow mornings, when you don’t have to be anywhere, or do anything? You’re up, and you putter around the house, doing unimportant things. You know what? It is good for the soul. A way to give your own mental health a long deep inhale exhale, in between everything else. I am no expert in the field, I speak from my own experience only. If you’re constantly busy, with work and chores that feel like work, or stuff in general that drain your batteries. When your daily grind stresses you out one way or another, and you don’t take breaks like this, you will end up hitting that invisible wall. Welcome, burnout. My little message today is never feel guilty about having a slow morning. It’s an inexpensive way of self-care.

I’m blogging the ARCBACK outfit #127; a relaxed smart casual outfit which consists of 4 separate pieces, with even more ways of wearing them. You have pants, suspenders, t-shirt, and open shirt with rolled-up sleeves. Beautifully textured pieces, ARCBACK style and colors. You can wear the shirt with or without the t-shirt, and the t-shirt can be worn without the shirt. Suspenders are separate, but I do like to wear them for a relaxed look. To make my slow morning complete, I can enjoy my cup of coffee outside, on the Bricolage Verano Bench. This is such a lovely set! You also have the Verano table, plant, magazine, and a cup of green tea which isn’t in this picture because I’m having coffee 😄

Party set-up.

I might not be the most efficient party helper, but I’m here! Setting up. Sort of. Wether it’s a baby shower, or a wedding, the ribbon candles from Aine is a nice touch. They come in two different sizes, a holdable version, and a version with 3 candles on a pedestal. The candles are available at N21 this round, under the brand Bloom! brand as this was the last release under the Bloom! name. This set matches the Amalina Lamp nicely, which you can find at Flourish. Aine also has a plate with delicious cupcakes for you, and a holdable one with texture change options via HUD. The cupcakes are available in the Aine store.

The party hats come from Scafall, and the beauty of them, is that they are not only decorative party hats, they dispense party hats upon Touch! Click the hats, and choose between 6 different hats to wear. This makes a super fun addition to almost any party.

The cupcakes and the party hats lay on the beautiful low Jules Coffee Table, which is a new mainstore release from Aine. The Jules Coffee Table comes in 3 different colors; white, grey, and green.

I thought it only proper to welcome Fancy Decor to my blog with a solo feature, not only because Fancy Decor has been on my ‘want to blog list’ since I started blogging, but also… Coffee. Many of my solo features happened because someone made coffee. Or a coffe-machine. I love coffee.

The Agosti Coffee Collection by Fancy Decor consists of an espresso-machine which dispenses 4 drinks, yes, the espresso martini is among them, a coffe grinder, and espresso tools. The set comes in black and white versions, and the espresso-machine handle and knob has 3 texture options via HUD.

Exotic.

DaD is participating in this round of EQUAL10 with the Exotic Corner set, which you can see on the left. This set is an ode to the majesty of elephants, and it contains a beautiful lamp, with a base shaped like the head of an elephant, a table that brings together a mother and her calf, a rug, and decorative urns, books, and bowl. I spend way too much time trying to come up with clever blog post titles. So today I’m saving some time, and maybe, if all goes smoothly, finish the next scene this evening. There are so many ideas for scenes floating around in my mind, that I need more hours in a day to actually excecute them all! 😜

Light and Good Vibes.

I’m extremely happy to show you a new creation from IKON. The Dynasty Eyes, available at Cosmopolitan until May 11th, are just… I’m speechless, and trying to find the right words. Amazing seem inadequate, but they really are amazing. I realize I don’t have the English vocabulary to properly describe eyes! They come in 36 colors, and include 2 sclera options, appliers for LeLUTKA EVO/EVOX, and BoM/System eyes. If you’re a member of the IKON VIP group in-world, you can pick up the Midsummer variant as a free group gift at the IKON mainstore.

Bee’s That Way is participating in this round of Uber with the Spring Desk Lamp set, which is a big “hello 80’s we’re not done with you yet!”, which is fine because I grew up in the 80’s, and believe everyone who didn’t, got robbed. LORE is participating at the Fantasy Faire with the Medieval Merchant Stall in several wood types and colors, an impressive collection of crystals, and merchant stall signs. 100% of the revenue from the crystal market barrels set, and stall signs collection, are donated to the Relay for Life fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. This is the last day of the faire, make sure to visit before they close!

I decorated the courtyard of the beautiful Arkaig Castle by FANATIK for a market day. Proper medieval style, you see. The castle is a older release by FANATIK, but oh em gee it is still an absolutely stunning build! The courtyard terrain has season change options, I totally love this, it is perfect for roleplay sims or even as an attraction for photographers and explorers. I used the FANATIK stone path building kit to build a path from one side of the courtyard to the other. The kit contains 6 different path shapes and texture change HUD.
