La Petite Vie is at Anthology this round with the Dove skybox and furniture set. The Dove skybox offers a spacious living- and kitchen area, with hallway, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and a balcony accessible from both the living room and the master bedroom. Features built-in shelves, a textured accent wall, recessed ceiling spotlights, and LED strips. Skylight above the kitchen area, and above the bed in the master. Sliding doors opens up to a nice and roomy balcony.
The Dove furniture set contains modern design chairs, table, rug, hanging lamp, planter with trees, and fabric frame. The chairs, rug and fabric frame are all dove grey out of the box, but they are modify so you can tint them any color you like, via right click – Edit – tick Edit linked and Select face, touch (left click) the face you want to tint, go to the Texture tab, and in the Color box select the color you want. This goes for the skybox interior walls also, they are made so that tinting them doesn’t harm any of the original design.

Vissi D’Arte is one of the most beautiful soprano arias ever written. It’s from the opera Tosca by Puccini, which premiered in Rome’s Teatro Costanzi on January 14, 1900. I want to share with you the moment when Leontyne Price visits the Ed Sullivan Show back in 1965, and performs the aria in such a magnificent way it brings tears to my eyes, it’s so beautiful. Leontyne Price turned 97 this year, in February.

This scene is made up of only some of the items that are on sale at the faire, and the exclusive new creations where 100% of the sales revenue goes to the Relay for Life fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. The rest are in 50% donation vendors, so if you’ve been saving up L$ for a big shopping spree, this would be where you spend them AND support a great cause at the same time.

I’ve always been a big fan of rocks. I’ve been collecting pretty samples for as long as I can remember. Now most of them have been returned to their original habitat lol as I’ve moved around quite a lot, but a couple of them I’ve kept because they are special to me. Like the melted rock I picked up outside a copper mine in my mom’s home town, for instance. Why am I talking about rocks all of a sudden? Well just take a look at the Duva Stepping Stones from Scafall, in the foreground of this picture! This is what they look like in a PBR viewer (I’m using Alchemy here). They also look good in non-PBR Firestorm viewer, but the ultimate level of rockiness is reached with PBR. See how the light from the Duva Lamp is reflected off the stone, as well as the soft orange light from the sun.
Still not sure what PBR is, or what the deal is? PBR is a way to render objects materials, making them look more realistic. Reflective surfaces are now possible, such as metal or glass. Overall PBR which is a standard in the gaming industry brings better visual quality. To be able to see PBR material, you will need a PBR compatible viewer. The official LL viewer is already compatible. Third party viewers such as Megapahit, Alchemy, Firestorm, or cool VL for instance are in a beta state for now. Want to know more? This Second Life wiki page is extremely helpful, especially if you’re a creator just starting to work with PBR materials.

DaD is participating in this round of ACCESS with the BellaVista Gazebo Set. This gazebo is made up of a worn green metal frame, wooden floor and beautifully detailed design of swirls and leafs in a garden-gate like look, along with long white drapes on each side. The BellaVista sofa accommodates up to 4 avatars with loads of animations for singles, MF, FF and MM. Animations includes activities that come with props. Try the guitar and by touch you can select a song to play. Wanna dance with friends? It has that too and much more.
For this picture I’m using the JuicyBomb – Fable Skies [Mellow Sunset] EEP, where I’ve slightly edited the haze density and distance multiplier for a clearer shot. The sun flare is added in post edit.

There’s something about this quaint little shop that reminds me of my student days in Tromsø, I don’t know what exactly, but it’s there. Also, entering a shop that sells bath bombs and handmade soaps always brightens my mood. So. It’s almost Friday in Norway, we have bath bombs in a quaint shop in Tromsø, and the most popular singer hailing from Tromsø right now with a song that’s somewhat of a guilty pleasure (scroll down).
